The Largest Event of its Kind in the Northwest Returns to Portland – Sake Fest 2019
Sake Fest is not just another wine tasting. Not that there’s anything wrong with wine tastings, but this is definitely not that. Saké Fest PDX provides lucky guests the unique opportunity to educate themselves on a very tasty subject. Learn what sets saké apart and makes it such a versatile beverage and so very special. Taste something new or just revisit old saké favorites on Wednesday, June 26th in the Portland Ballroom of the Oregon Convention Center.
From the saké novice to the experienced saké drinker, with so much saké to try, people are bound to find many new favorites. Delicious food to complement the saké will be served by Zilla Saké, Wares Pdx, Sho Japanese Restaurant, Giraffe, Tekka Bar, Full Circle, Hello Fresh, Zupans, and more.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase SakePedia: A Non- Traditional Guide to Japan’s Traditional Beverage. “SakePedia is really about de- mystifying an already unnecessarily mysterious beverage. I try to convey how approachable sake is for drinkers of all kinds of alcohol beverages, in as un- pretentious a way as possible,” explains author Jeff Cioletti.
Davvy Lee with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits adds, “Sake? Fest PDX is one of the best food and beverage festivals in town, some say the nation! People should come to discover how amazing sake? is– it’s all about learning and having fun.”
